Questions, answered.

Everything you might want to know about membership, pricing, and how the practice works.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a membership-based model of primary care. Instead of billing insurance for office visits, you pay a flat monthly fee for direct access to your provider and a far more personal approach to care.
Foundational lab work is drawn at your very first visit and included in your membership, so your care plan is built on real data from day one. For any additional testing, members receive deeply discounted wholesale pricing — and the cost is always shared with you upfront.
Waypoint Wellness does not bill insurance for the primary care services included in your membership. That's what allows for simpler pricing, longer visits, and a more direct relationship. You can still use insurance for things outside the practice — specialists, imaging, hospital care, and prescriptions.
No. Both offer more personal care and better access, but DPC is designed to be simpler and more affordable. Concierge practices often charge higher fees and may still bill insurance on top of the membership. DPC removes the insurance layer entirely for primary care.
For many people, yes. Paying out of pocket through a membership can cost less than a year of copays, deductibles, and surprise bills — especially if you're between coverage or on a high-deductible plan. And you get something insurance can't buy: time and a real relationship with your provider.
DPC is not a replacement for health insurance. Coverage is still important for hospitalizations, emergencies, specialists, imaging, and surgeries. Many members pair Waypoint with a high-deductible plan or other coverage.
Membership is age-based: Ages 21–34 are $100/month, Ages 35–49 are $125/month, and Ages 51–64 are $150/month. There are no copays and no surprise bills for included services, and it's month-to-month.
No long-term contracts. Membership is billed monthly and you can cancel anytime — simple and flexible.
Yes. Direct access is at the heart of this model. Members can reach the practice directly for questions, follow-up, and care needs during business hours and per practice policies.
Whenever possible, the practice aims to offer same- or next-day appointments for urgent needs. Availability can vary with scheduling and demand.
Adults who want more time with their provider, value prevention, prefer clear pricing, are managing chronic conditions, or simply want a relationship-based approach to their care. It's also a great fit if you're uninsured, between coverage, or on a high-deductible plan.
